Batman: Arkham Origins
Rocksteady have handed over the baton of one of the best game franchises in recent memory.
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have announced Batman: Arkham Origins to be released on the 25th October 2013.
“Batman: Arkham is a huge triple-A videogame franchise and we are delighted to expand the experience with Batman: Arkham Origins,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
The Bats coming to get you
Arkham Origins is set prior to the events of Arkham City, while Batman is just getting into the swing of his caped crusading he is being hunted by a group of mercenaries, with a bounty on his head he must fight his way through and survive the night.
Trying to survive a barrage of assassins is hard enough for our freshling hero but the Dark Knight will also have to contend with Bane, Penguin, Anarky and the deadly Joker.
Its a Dark Night indeed!!!
Highlights
As well as all the gadgetry and fighting skills available in Arkham City the Batman has a few new tricks up his sleeve:
- New Gadgets: The Remote Claw - allowing Batman to target two objects and pull them together
- Bigger Gaming Area: Batman can call on the help of the Batwing to travel much greater distances meaning that the gameplay area will be much larger than Arkham City
- New Villains: Black Mask, Deadstroke, Anarky & Alberto Falcone have all been announced
- New Detective Vision: With the help of the Batcave and Batcomputer batman create holograms to act out theatrical scenarios of crimes allowing Batman to re-enact crimes and view them from different angles or in slow motion to find clues and solve crimes.
The idea of this game makes my nether-regions tingle!
